Puppy Sugar

My foster family calls me Sugar, but my foster mama knows that is not my forever name.  She says maybe something like “Lucy” or “Speedy” or “Cheese” or “Get Out of My Kitchen”.  I am 4 months old and she says I is a SMART one. I love to walk and go to the beach and my foster mama says I am super curious about life right now.  If you reach down to pet me, I might pull away and act a little introverted, but get to know me? I will loves and loves and loves on you and wag my tail like crazy, and I want to make you happy with me...Getting on your bed...And cuddling like a stuffed animal...With cheese snacks.

My foster family says I love to play.  I am learning that not every dog wants to wrestle like my foster brother, Tommy.  At the beach, I am discovering my dog senses, which big guys are friendly and which ones make me run to my foster mama.  She always has treats in her pocket so it is a win-win situation for me.

I can walk on leash like a big dog.  My foster family says I do it perfectly!  I also sit and down. I don’t always recall, secretly I like to make that decision myself.  My foster mama doesn’t seem to like it so much, so I am trying my best to follow what Tommy does.

I would love a forever brother or sister dog, one who could show me the ropes in a new home.  I keep hearing the word “cat”, but I have never gotten to meet one up close so I don’t know if it is a good word or not!

My foster mama says my forever family is one who can be consistent and calm while I grow into a very special companion for a family.  I am potty trained. I know the word “No” means to stop doing what I am doing and go do something else until they say that word again. My foster mama says I am very advanced already and someone is going to score when they choose me.
