Coco

1.5 yr Catahoula Leopard Dog/Lab

Coco is a sweet, affectionate girl who is longing to be someone's best friend. We picked up Coco from a local shelter after she had been surrendered by her former owner. The notes read: "Dogs attacking this dog. This dog kept in backyard only."

Despite a rough start, Coco is a happy girl hoping that her next home can commit to forever and provide her with companionship, love and continued training/structure. She loves playing fetch and carrying her stuffed squeaky toys from room to room! Coco always has a smile on her face.

While Coco would prefer to be an only dog in the home, she can hang out on the farm with our dogs around. She does not like dogs in her space; we believe her feelings towards dogs is very fear-based, so a dog-savvy adopter would be most ideal for Coco. It is very important to practice consistent parallel walks with other dogs as much as possible to help Coco curb her leash reactivity and fear. She has been on a number of walks with other dogs and does very well, but needs to keep her skills up in her new home too!

55 lbs, spayed,, microchipped and up to date on shots. Coco's adoption donation is $125 with help towards leash-reactivity training provided!
