Meet Astrid!
Astrid and her brother Axel were dumped in the middle of the Central CA country side and picked up by a Good Samaritan.
They are very shy puppies who will need patient, experience homes committed to socialization, trust building, and positive exposure.
They are gentle and sweet, but nervous meeting new dogs. They currently live with a large male lab in foster who they love but it takes very slow intros to get them comfortable. They love kids and are very gentle w/ their 2 year old foster kiddo — they do not jump or bite.
They are not fully comfortable being inside yet, but learning. Astrid is the more outgoing of the two — she does not like to be left alone and also more vocal. Axel is content to lay by himself. Sudden movements or standing can scare him and they are both learning how to be comfortable picked up.
They are very very scared or leash / collar pressure to the point that they screamed and hid. Whoever adopts Axel or Astrid will need to be understanding and go slow.
