Meet Joey!
40-45 lb Neutered 1.5 year Male Herding Breed Mix.
Joey (fka Hammie) was found as a stray with another dog (Aloha) who has been adopted. Now it’s his turn at a happy home!
Joey is nervous around new people and does best if ignored / offered treats. He has handling sensitives to new people as well, so it is best to let him come to you and get affection on his own terms. Once he knows and loves you he is a total cuddle bug.
Joey is nervous around sudden movements, noises, external stimuli and may do best in a quiet setting (home and neighborhood). For these reasons a kid-free home would be best for Joey.
Joey is good with cats AND kittens
Neutral with new dogs (a bit nervous, but no aggression or reactivity). Once he knows a dog he relaxes. He may do best in a home with a well-matched dog.
Walks well on leash, loves his crate, moderate activity level, affectionate with those he loves
