Sir Karl

Hi I’m Sir Karl of Davis, and I come from a long line of noble Weimaraners and Pointers! Over the past few centuries and moving to the United States, my family lost its way, and, in a weird turn of events, I ended up in the shelter system, but I’m so grateful for it because of all of the new dogs and hoo-mans I’ve been able to meet!

My current foster dad is so excited to be a part of my life and says I’m a “good boy” all the time. (I’m not quite sure what that means because I don’t speak “hoo-man” but he gives me treats when we does it and head pats, so I really like it.)

I am great with other dogs and get really excited on walks when I see other dogs, because I want to play with them! Everyone loves new friends!

My foster dad says that I’m getting really good on the leash. I like walking right next to him (especially when he gives me treats and head pats). Every now and then I pull on my leash, but only when I want to smell an especially delicious tree – I love trees. When it comes to being at home, I like to nap, be pet, and snooze. I don’t jump on people, bark, or nip/bite – it’s just rude and undignified of someone with my knightly title!

I don’t like sitting on furniture or hoo-man beds, but rather prefer the ground/my kennel. I don’t have a ton of energy at home, so I would work great with a house with kids or low energy. However, I do love going to long walks to stretch my legs! Foster dad says we’re going to try running next, I’m not sure if I know what running is but he seems excited, so I’ll try it with him. I am a very easy going doggo, even though I’m a knight. I can adjust to a variety of life styles and schedules. I really like walks and just hanging out at night with hoo-mans so they can give me head pats and rubs!

Likes: Head pats, scratches, positive affirmation, and shoes;

Dislikes: Loud scary noises and stairs.

Sir Karl really loves shoes, but is none destructive with them; our shoes mostly live in our closest so it’s not a big issue, but he will take them and sniff them if left out. Just likes to smell them NBD.

Sir Karl would be an amazing first dog for anyone. He is very easy going and just likes to hang out. He does not jump, bark, nor bite/nip.

He does really well overnight in his kennel – no barking, no issues. He often gets into his kennel on his own accord just to hang out. He really likes being outside, so if you have a small back patio area (do not have to be huge) he would absolutely love that.
