Meet Nala, 13 months, spayed, 85 lbs.
Per DNA Test: 50% German Shepherd, 33% Great Pyrenees, 17% Maremma Sheep Dog.
Nala has had a very rough start and needs the stability and guidance and love of a forever home w/ an experienced adopter.
Nala was first fostered through Bradshaw shelter, and the foster jumped the gun on adoption only a few hours in. Unfortunately her play style was too rough for the fosters small senior pug, and Nala was resource guarding her food and toys by growling and barking at the Pug (did not bite).
Nala was then adopted to a young couple in Napa area, but when a family member moved in due to fires only 2 weeks after adoption, Nala had a difficult time accepting the person in the home and has snapped at them. Nala meets strangers very well and is friendly and will role over for belly rubs. She would most likely do best in a stable 1-2 adult household willing to work on young dog training.
Nala is playful, and housetrained. She is leash reactive to passing dogs, but has done well with dogs given slow intros before. A big quiet property or yard in a quiet neighborhood would be ideal. In her first home she did well in a crate, but did not like the crate in her second home. She is non-destructiveso may like to be left in a room when you leave instead.
