Sienna is a 2 year old, 60 lb spayed Husky rescued from Amador county shelter as a stray so we do not know much about her life prior.
Sienna has tested well with dogs, but has a rough and vocal husky play style (see video) that husky-lovers may appreciate. She is friendly with all people, active and curious.
Sienna would make a great starter husky! She would benefit from continued young dog training to learn things like less pulling on leash.
She would be just fine as an only dog in the home; if she is a second dog in the home she should be feed food and treats separately. Sienna has met lots of dogs in a friendly manner, but in the home / living environment, Sienna would do best with a non-dominant dog, most likely large male.
The ideal home for Sienna is active owners; a cooler climate, and an environment where she would get daily physical and mental stimulation.
Sienna tested well with handling so may do well with respectful kids, but we have not seen her around children yet. No cats for Sienna.
Housetrained, well-behaved in with home rules and sleeps through the night.
$300 adoption donation includes: Spay, Vaccinations, Microchip, and flea tick treated/dewormed.
