Meet Puppy Tally!
DNA Results: 55% German Shepherd, 30% Husky, 15% Australian Shepherd.
She and her two siblings were rescued from deplorable conditions in Sanger CA.
They had been dumped in an orchard, but prior to this they were severely neglected as well. The pups arrived to us covered in ticks and fleas. They were skinny and starving. Despite this, they are loving, friendly and playful.
We are not sure their breed but best guess is Tally will be between 60-65 lbs full grown, however that is only a guess Breed guesses include husky/malinois/herding breed.
Tally is the most confident and outgoing of the three. She happily runs up to strangers and gives everyone kisses. Tally recently had to get FHO surgery (femoral head ostectomy) as her hip sockets did not fully form, causing the femoral head to not fit properly.
She is on her road to recovery. FHO surgeries are one of the most common surgeries in vet medicine. She is expected to make a full recovery, and while she should not be a dog who trains for marathons by running long miles on leash, she is a happy active dog who will be able to play and run normally!
