Meet Puppy Toots! He and his two siblings were rescued from deplorable conditions in Sanger CA. They had been dumped in an orchard, but prior to this they were severely neglected as well.
The pups arrived to us covered in ticks and fleas. They were skinny and starving. Despite this, they are loving, friendly and playful.
We are not sure their breed but best guess is they will be around 35-50 lbs full grown, however that is only a guess. They may be mixed with husky or some type of terrier.
Toots is the most sensitive of the bunch. He is shy meeting people, but will come out of hiding very quickly for a squeaky toy! He is gentle and loving, and the first to crawl into my lap every morning. He would do best with a friendly dog-role model in the home and continued positive exposure to new people. With positive exposure he will be just fine, as he really does want to trust!
We have gotten them vetted, medicated, fecal tested, dewormed, flea tick treated, and their first puppy shots. They will be ready to go to their new homes in the coming week, but we are accepting apps now.
