$300 adoption donation helps cover costs of travel and vetting — spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm/fecal tested and up to date on monthly preventatives.
We are unsure her true breeds — she is about 45 lbs. Age guess best 2-3 years.
Meet Honey — a 2-3 year old medium size breed mutt who came to us all the way from Iran. We do not know much about where she came from or her backstory, however Honey did live in a foster home in Iran prior to arrival (foster home had kids and dogs).
Honey is gentle, shy, nervous, timid and sweet — she has zero aggression but will need a patient home committed to continued confidence and trust building + desensitization and positive exposure.
She may do best with another calm dog friend and a big yard. She is learning to walk well on leash but can still get nervous about somethings and halt/pancake to the ground. She is still learning that stairs are not scary and her foster home is the second floor apartment so she has to be carried, but we are hoping she can master the stairs in no time.
Moderate energy — she is still decompressing and so we have not seen her full personality yet. She has wonderful potential with the right home.
May do well in a home w/ cats given slow intros. Recommend home teens plus.
Adoption Process:
Step 1. Complete online adoption application including pictures of home / yard
Step 2. If it sounds like a good fit for all we will respond in 1-5 days to schedule a follow up call with an adoption counselor. Due to a high amount of interest for puppies, we may not be able to respond to all applicants but will try our best!
Step 3. If it sounds like a match, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home’s backyard or outdoor public setting practicing social distancing policies. Please review info on meet and greets at heartsforpawsrescue.com/meet-greet-info
