Meet Comet!
Comet is an 11 week Boxer Mix rescued as part of an accidental litter in Sacramento Ca.
Mama was a boxer and we are told dad was a mutt with potential doberman mix. Comet is super outgoing, friendly, wiggly, happy and LOVES having other dogs in the home.
The ideal home will be experienced w/ big dogs and puppies and OR willingness to enroll in training to get the humans started on the right foot. He is still working on potty training, and adopters must be ready for ALL things puppy. When adopting a puppy you are ALSO adopting an adolescent, adult AND senior dog. 12- 15 years of committed ownership through all of life's trials where the dog will still remain a priority in your home.
Preference to homes with;
- Experience and or willingness to learn/enroll in training
- Concrete plans for continued socialization/positive exposure
- Active homes
- Homeowners w/ fenced yards a plus
- Homes w/ friendly dog role models a plus
- Preference to homes w/ flexible work schedules -- we do not recommend 9-5 working schedules for young puppies
- please note: if you have young children in the home, many experts recommend pairing puppies under 5 months in homes with kids over the age of 5
$500 adoption donation -- first DHPP shots, microchip, fecal tested/treated, dewormed, flea tick treated + neuter agreement addendum (5-6 months of age) -- adopters are responsible for finishing puppy shot series and providing vetting/care for the dogs lifetime.
