Meet Layla!
Layla is a female 4 year old terrier mix. Spayed, vetted, vaccinated, chipped, 33 pounds.
Layla is a nervous/timid dog, but once she loves and trusts you she is very affectionate and eager to please her person. Layla would benefit from a home experienced w/ dogs lacking confidence; if forced / pressured into interaction she shows clear cut off signals and nervous behavior - she will need her person to advocate for her that she does not want to be pet by new people. Layla will definitely need time to decompress in her new home and will look to escape the first few days until she knows she is in her new forever home.
Layla would do best with a confident dog friend to role model from; she also currently lives with cats. She is housetrained. Great on leash, good in the car. She will need mental/physical stimulation every day and a fair amount of exercise. Confidence/relationship building with force free/positive reinforcement only required.
