Hershey

Meet Hershey!

HERSHEY is an approximately 11 year old 25lb schnauzer/yorkie mix who came to us obese, needing medical attention from an elderly couple that no longer wanted her. Nevertheless, she knows nothin but love, & is very friendly & happy all of the time. She is low energy & is currently on a strict diet to try to loose weight so she can be around for as long as possible in her new FOREVER home.

Her forever home must continue to keep her at a healthy weight, (she's been workin hard!) continue to take her on walks, give her lots of love & cuddles.

Like most seniors, she does not enjoy having young, spunky, or larger dogs all up in her face. She is in foster with 2 other well-behaved dogs and has been in foster with cats and is getting ample socialization with other people. She would love a place to call her own where she can cuddle, nap, and go on walks-- she really doesn't ask for much.

Hershey is of great health, other than her mild heart murmur that at this time requires no medications. Like many well-cared for seniors, she is on an anti-inflammatory once daily to keep her comfortable and active. She is spayed, will have a dental cleaning before adoption, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and up to date on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She has had full bloodwork, screening ultrasound, and chest x-rays. Her adoption donation is $250.
