Rusty

UPDATED 8/11/22-
RUSTY is a 10-12 month old purebred Boxer that has recovered after being abandoned on the side of the road in the rural California valley. He has since been fully vetted, and had ample time to recover.

He is a sweet, goofy boy that will steal your heart with his slobbery boxer kisses. He is shy with people he doesn't know likely due to his former life and lack of proper socialization. His fur is a brilliant rust color, hence the name Rusty. He has soft, gentle eyes and truly believes that he is a lap dog. He gets along well with other dogs and children. Once he gets to know you, he will follow you from room to room and wants to be as near as possible. He has all of the typical boxer characteristics and would benefit from positive dog training techniques. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and will be a lifelong, loyal companion.

We are looking for a Boxer or bully breed savvy home who is prepared for all things bully! Adopter's must understand the energy level, exercise & medical requirements/restrictions of the breed. We do not know how he is with cats. He is potty-trained & crate-trained, but needs work with leash walking & exposure to the outside world.

His ideal adopter's:
-have a yard
-flexible work schedule/time for training/exercise
-a role model dog in the home
-priority given to local adopters

Rusty's adoption donation is $500 which includes his neuter procedure, Lepto, Bordetella, DHPP, and rabies vaccines, full bloodwork/vetting, microchip, and monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
