Meet Jack!
Hey there, it's me, Jack Jack, a 3-year-old meatball (aka staffy mix)! Picture this: a low-rider wiggle butt with an overflowing heart of love—that's me in a nutshell! Wherever I go, I’m pretty much guaranteed to bring smiles and infectious happiness!
I started my journey at Bradshaw Animal Shelter and was lucky enough to be rescued by HFP. My foster home in Sacramento has been treating me real nice, and the humans say I've been thriving here, whatever that means.
Let's talk about my love for dogs—it's boundless! I've rocked doggy play groups with both male and female pals, and I even shared a kennel with two lovely ladies back at the shelter. While my intros can be a tad enthusiastic (okay maybe really enthusiastic), I adjust like a champ once I get past that initial rush of excitement. But hey, not all dogs are fans of my play style, so I'm on the lookout for well-matched doggy friends and proper introductions to set me up for success!
Here's the lowdown on me:
I'm housetrained and a pro at using a doggy door
You can leave me alone for 3-4 hours without any destruction shenanigans
I used to fancy my crate, but it's been a while, so reintroduction might be needed
Toys and tug-of-war? Count me in! But daily walks with lots of sniffing? That's the jackpot for me
I'm a road trip enthusiast—great in the car!
Leash walks are cool, though I might pull a bit when I spy other dogs. But redirect me with some treats, and I'm real responsive to that! Food over bros!
Couch snuggling? Absolutely my jam!
Meeting new people? I'm the loose-body wiggly ambassador of friendliness!
Now, a heads up: when I'm stressed or overly excited, I can get a bit mouthy. So, while I'm cool meeting kids outside, an adult home is recommended
Oh, and about kitties? Well, let's just say I find them a tad too interesting, so a cat-free zone might be best for me.
Ready for a life filled with wiggles, snuggles, and all-around joy? I'm your guy—Jack Jack, a volunteer favorite and breed ambassador who has been waiting FAR too long for a home now!
Jack's Adoption Donation is SPONSORED! He has also received a $250 donation towards training with new adopters -- this means his adoption is free AND HFP will provide $250 back to adopters for proof of enrollment with a certified force free trainer. (Jack is an AMAZING dog but if adopters need help with his occasional mouthiness this donation will go towards supporting just that to get everyone started on the right foot!)
