Jade

meet jade!

Hi there, I'm Jade, and let me tell you about my incredible journey from a small shelter in Sanger, CA to the warmth of a foster home. My two sisters, mama, and I were facing a tough fate – no one seemed interested in us, and the clock was ticking. But then, like a miracle, HFP stepped in, and they pulled us out just in time. The concrete kennel was all we knew, but now, everything is new and full of wonders.

The first time we rolled in grass, oh, it was like a dream. The softness beneath my paws, the tickle on my belly – pure bliss. And a warm bed? That's a luxury I never knew existed!  It's hard to put into words what we've been through, but we're safe now, and that's what matters most.

Life at my foster home is so different. I have mellow moments with occasional zoomies, exploring with my new dog and cat friends, and following them around to see what's happening. I can be a bit shy at first, but give me a moment, and I warm up, don’t you worry! I’ve even liked the school-age kids I’ve met.

These humans are teaching me cool stuff like sit, down, go to your bed, go potty, and stay. I'm a quick learner, and I love being around them. They say I might want a puppy friend – that sounds like a blast! Being alone is not my favorite, but I promise I haven’t destroyed anything when left at home without the humans.

I haven't quite figured out the whole kennel thing yet, but sleeping at the foot of their bed feels just right. Sure, I wake up early for a quick potty break, but besides that, I'm a champion sleeper and snooze through the night.

They say I'd make a great companion, maybe even a running buddy when I grow up. So, here's to new beginnings, to a happy ending in sight.
