Ana is a 1.5 year old GSD/ACD mix who LOVES to be on the go and with her family.
She knows basic commands extremely well and is crate trained but can still use some work on leash manners. Her favorite place to go is the dog park, so I think she would be happiest in a home with another dog.
Ana will impress you with her commands: sit, down, wait (freeze), touch (not 100%), dance (spin), paw, high 5!
The ideal home for Ana is a dog-oriented home. She likes to be included in everything, especially if it's something active and outdoors. She is highly intelligent which means she loves to learn new tricks and show you the ones she already knows. We think she would also love a doggie friend, but she would be fine as an only dog if the family was able to give her an hour or more of attention/exercise a day.
She does have some separation anxiety when left alone, but she falls asleep in her kennel without any barking or too much anxiety as long as she has a Kong (can be destructive if allowed free roam). Ana was left for 8 hour days in her last home and they felt they couldn't give her the time she needed. No doubt with a more flexible work schedule, she will be a perfect addition to another home.
