Henry

Henry is a happy 8-9 month 35 lb mutt Looking for a forever home:

  • House-trained, crate-trained — Henry has had zero accidents in the house, does not mark, and will happily go into his crate for a treat + sleep there all through the night

  • Loves fetch and will already bring the ball back!

  • Activity level — High/moderate with ability to relax in the home. Give him a big yard to play in and he will self exercise with zoomies, happily flinging toys in the air… truly the cutest thing to watch! Henry will need a long walk + a more rigorous activity like a jog or fetch session to remain happy and healthy both mind and body.

  • Henry is good with dogs & has lived with lots of dogs! Henry has an awkward play style that some dogs love but is a bit much for others. Additionally, his initial intros can be a little rough because he is overly excited first. Some dogs don’t always appreciate the way he rushes in to sniff them or licks their face all over.

  • On leash Henry gets overly excited which can lead to barking, whining, pulling and crying. He will need continued leash training to work on learning how to remain calm when seeing dogs on leash.

  • Henry may do well with another well-matched dog in the home. He does need to be fed separately from other dogs until he is more established in the home and has some one on one work learning dogs aren’t going to take his food or high value treats

  • Henry would do best with active owners who can give him both mental and physical daily stimulation. If he can get out 2-3 times a day for walks, runs or playtime he relaxes very well in the house!

  • Henry needs work on leash manners and learning not to pull!

  • Extremely treat motivated and eager to please to help with training! Henry can sometimes be nervous meeting new people, but is easily won over with treats and friendly calm energy towards him.

  • Henry will pretty much do anything for food and knows commands sit, down, paw, crate.

  • The ideal home is dog-savvy, active and committed to continued training
