Cutie Kaya

Kaya is a sweet, friendly 10 year old Am-Staff who is amazing with children (grew up with babies) and is currently living with multiple dogs in foster care. Kaya was surrendered to the shelter by her former “family” — a family that had Kaya since she was just 6 weeks They surrendered her as a euthanasia request because they couldn’t or didn’t want to keep up with her daily eye drops. They didn’t want to pay a euthanasia fee however, so we were able to rescue Kaya once her 3 day hold was over. Their loss is OUR GAIN.

Kaya is an amazing dog — house trained, walks well on leash, fine being left alone without destruction, loves traveling in the car —- she will make a perfect addition to a home with kids. She absolutely lights up with children around. She has tons of pep in her step and many golden years ahead of her.

Kaya does have dry eye which requires drops in the morning and evening everyday but is very easy to manage.
