Ollie

Summary:

Hi, I'm Ollie! I am a four/five month old terrier mix. I was abandoned and left in a fenced yard, but don't worry, because I am so much happier now as a HFP dog! I’'m an amazing puppy if I do say so myself! I have not had any accidents in my foster mom's house. I am the best cuddler you will ever meet, and I follow my foster mom wherever she goes in the house. I need some practice walking on a leash, but love to explore. I am surprisingly a lower-energy guy for being a puppy. I love being around other dogs (I am always whining for the doggo who lives next door so we can play) and am very gentle. I would do best in a home that is very loving. You don't need a lot of puppy experience to do well with me. I am an easy-going guy.
Activity Level:  Medium energy, falls asleep at home whenever he gets a chance to snooze

Daily Exercise Needs: Please describe in detail.

Ollie is a medium energy dog. He needs two good walks and or playdate (with another dog) each day. He loves to explore outside as well. I allow him to have free reign of the yard to explore during the day when I am home.

Your Current Schedule: Please describe in detail.

Ollie and I wake up around 9:00am and first thing is to have him go potty on our first walk. I go to school for 3 hours and when I come home, we have a playdate with the neighbor's dog or go on another walk. The door is always open when I am home so he can go out to potty or play outside as much as he likes. We snuggle while I do work from home.

Housetrained:

Ollie has not had any accidents in the house. Everytime I take him outside and he uses the potty, I reward him with a treat. He has been so receptive and has not had any accidents in the house.

On-Leash: Ollie definitely needs some practice on the leash; he does not yet quite understand the concept. I use a slip-lead. He is pretty responsive with calls and gentle pulls on the lead. He is easy to work with though, since he is only about 20lbs.

Experience level of future adopters: Good beginner dog, and really would be good for anyone who is home and can cuddle him as much as possible

Dogs: Dog friendly

Kids: good with respectful kids 7+

Cats: unsure

Personality: Please describe -- so very gentle, always happy to see you, very affectionate, follows you around everywhere, can be shy at first around new people, and nervous around sudden loud noises, does not bark a lot, peppy and happy.

Likes/Dislikes: Ollie LOVES to be cuddled. He follows me everywhere around the house and is on my lap as soon as I sit down anywhere. He loves being outside and playing with other dogs. He doesn't like loud noises or sudden movements.est guess is he will be about/under 30 lbs full grown.

$300 adoption donation includes neuter, vaccination, microchip, utd on monthly preventatives and a free wellness visit to banfield vet hospital.
