Puppy Lulu

Sweet, happy, playful Lulu is an adorable herding breed/lab Mix puppy who came to us as an owner surrender, when the family realized they didn’t have the time to devote to a young dog. We aim to find her the best home ever with this second chance. She already displays herding tendencies and will need an active home best with no kids under 5 due to the nipping of heels.

Looking for home with:

  1. Flexible work schedule (puppies will have a hard time adjusting to an 8 hour work schedule) — New owners should have the time to devote to puppy training, socialization and life-long companionship

  2. Preference to homes with experience raising dogs/willingness to enroll in training if first-time owners

  3. Preference to home owners with fenced yards

  4. Preference to homes with friendly dog role models

$375 adoption donation includes up to date on first shots, microchip, dewormed/flea tick treated, a free vet visit to your local banfield hospital. Our Puppy Adoptions are slightly higher as they generate the majority of the funds to pay it forward to longer term residents, special-needs, and medical-needs cases… Think of it as a “cuteness” tax

$75 of your adoption fee will be held as a deposit towards your puppies spay/neuter.

For puppies between 2-4 months that are not yet fixed. Per spay/neuter agreement clause in HFP’s Transfer of Care/Custody Contract, adopters must complete/provide proof of surgery by agreed upon date in contract ( 20-24 weeks of age). While some vets may suggest you wait a year to get your puppy fixed, our agreement is firm that the surgery must be done no later than 24 weeks. Upon timely proof of spay/neuter, HFP can refund the $75 deposit. HFP is happy to help set you up with low cost Spay/Neuters appointments in our area. Adopters must also finish any age-appropriate shots for puppies and agree to provide proper vetting and care for the dogs’ lifetime. Failure to comply may result in fines or steps to take the animal back.
