Requirements: Adopters must be over 19 years of age; proof of residence, rental agreement pet-policies may be required.

ALL CATS adopted from HFP are bound by contract to be indoor cats & must not be declawed*

Complete form thoroughly and honestly. Help us get to know you as pet owners! One word or short answered applications will be more difficult for us to approve.

Meet & Greets sometimes end in adoption the same day, but not always. HFP reserves the right to refuse adoption for any reason & to conduct pre and post-adoption home-checks. Breech of contract or failure to provide animal with proper care, vetting, attention, may result in steps to reclaim the animal.

INDIVIDUAL: $150 PAIRS: $250 total adoption donation includes: spay/ neuters, FIV/FelV negative tests, microchips, to date on first vaccines, and flea/deworming treatments. *All cats adopted from HFP are bound by contract to be indoor cats & must not be declawed* The majority of our cats are located within 1 hour of SAN DIEGO CA through our Southern California Chapter We run entirely on donations. Your adpotion donation helps cover rescue costs which may include spay/neuter, emergency services, major surgeries, vaccinations, microchips, initial wellness checks, grooming, medicines, monthly preventatives, diagnostic testing, food, treats, leashes, harnesses equipment, professional training, boarding and transport. Adoption donations are non-refundable. The above application must be reviewed & approved prior to adopting any animal that has been rescued by Hearts for Paws Rescue. Adopters who adopt a HFP animal agree to keep the animal as an inside animal & provide lifetime vetting, care, and companionship. HFP adopted animals may not be given away, sold, surrendered to shelters, dumped or otherwise disposed of & HFP must be notified if an animal is no longer wanted. Thank you for understanding the animal you are interested in may not be the best match for your home. At this time, we are not able to respond to all applications, but are trying our best to do so. In some cases, it may take longer than 3 days to review/respond.

We are an all-volunteer rescue trying our very best for our community & our animals. Everyone you correspond with and interact with through HFP is volunteering their time, energy & heart into this process. We understand it may be dissappointing to “miss out” on the dog you applied for, but never want to deter good adopters from adopting… If not through us, we encourage you to continue looking to other reputable rescues and shelters as there are no shortage of dogs in need of loving homes!
