Mahi

Meet Mahi!

Mahi is a 7 month old GSD who is just beginning to know a proper structured life. He was purchased as a small puppy and then was never properly trained/socialized or received vet care.

He was then given away once before finding his way to us. It is apparent he has been crated far too often in his short life-- so we are working to make the crate a more positive place for him. This is an all-too-common story for shepherds and this time, he will be done right by humans.

He has been neutered, vaccinated, and has been receiving daily obedience training by our GSD experienced foster. He now heels on leash, sits, lays down, and is working on positive crate experiences.

Mahi is the biggest love and best cuddler. He is happy and eager to learn/train. He loves his foster mom and foster doggie siblings. He is a light in every room. He chases and pounces on his foster feline sister-so no cats for his forever home. He is extremely friendly with all people/strangers, and dogs alike.

Due to his size (60lbs+ currently) and puppy-like behaviors he needs a home without small children he could knock down. His ideal home would have GSD experience or other working dog experience, an active lifestyle, flexible work schedule to reduce crate time, and a role-model dog in the home, no resident small children but visiting OK, and no cats. (ideal does not mean required)

Mahi's adoption donation is $350 and includes his neuter, microchip, rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines, and monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
