Oliver

Owner Surrender Notes on Oliver:

“Oliver outside of the recent behavior changes has been wonderful to have, we have taught him to wait at the door when it is being opened, sit, sit before crossing the road, give his paw, wait at his food bowl for "eat" command once food has been put in it. He loves to lay in the sun and just sit outside sniffing all day. He uses our dog door a thousand times a day and loves to run and play with our other dog. He is vocal when we leave but settles within minutes. He will track down any tiny bit of smell in the home that is food related, we keep our kitchen chairs pushed in as we found him on the counter once. He chewed up shoes when we first got him but that habit has gone away since he has his own toys. He respects kid gates really well. His recent changes in behavior have been when we try to move him or when he is eating etc, trying to shoo him off the couch he was growling etc.

Meet Oliver! Ollie is a sweet dog, but has developed some resource guarding tendencies with food and space. Although he is sweet and
”95% perfect”, friendly to people, kids and dogs out and about, he would now do best in an adult only, pet-free home.

He is smart, trainable, and will be an amazing dog to the right home/environment!

Looking for dog-savvy owners — continued work with him on the specific issue + provide boundaries and structure (no jumping on furniture, crate training etc) is a MUST.

Walks well on leash, travels great in the car, moderately active and is housetrained. 25-30 lbs.

$250 adoption donation w/ a $150 training voucher available. Neutered, vetted, utd on vaccinations, microchipped, and monthly preventatives.
