Duke is the definition of a deserving dog. He survived months on the streets of Puerto Rico, to be one of the lucky few rescued. Our sister Rescue Souls of Satos saw the video of this beyond sweet dog wagging his tail and greeting everyone + good with dogs, they knew they couldn’t leave him on the streets to die. We knew he was the kind of dog we wanted to bring to California to give him a real chance at a home and a happily ever after.
It’s hard to imagine that a dog who has been through so much can be so perfect — but he is what so many adopters are hoping to find — friendly, gentle, moderate energy, easy going, agreeable and good with other animals. Duke has been fully vetted and received a clean bill of health to fly to CA. We would love to place him directly into a foster-to-adopt home in time for the holidays.
Foster-to-adopt allows you a trial of sorts to see if it’s a forever match with your home/lifestyle before committing to adoption. Duke is also available for direct adoption and in need of a caring foster.
