Meet Gizmo!
Gizmo is an 8 month old terrier/ hound/husky mix. He is about 40 lbs and loves people and dogs.
Going to the dog park and playing fetch with a ball or frisbee (or stick) is one of his favorite things to do. He also loves to hike and go in the water where he can stand (he has not yet tested fully swimming). More than that, he absolutely loves to cuddle and be pet! He is good about not going on furniture but would definitely cuddle next to you if you allow it.
Gizmo is a very playful, curious, active, loving, and cuddly pup! He would do great in a home with that can give him a lot of attention and and can keep him very active on a daily basis.
A choke collar has worked best for his leash training but he is still working on not pulling to say hi to everyone!.
Gizmo knows sit, lay down and sit-stay and is very treat motivated.
He is gentle and good with all people/ kids but does jump when excited and will play-bite if he doesn't have proper chew toys. He is about a week or so off potty training, but still needs to be taken out often and rewarded for going outside.
Gizmo is a very curious pup, wants to explore everything and is loving his new life! He is good in the car and loves to poke his nose out the window. He also really enjoys toys and people watching.
He does well sleeping in a crate at night but suffers from separation anxiety especially without another dog around so he will whine/ bark when left alone. He definitely needs to be in a crate when left home alone with chew toys.
Gizmo lived his former life in a fenced back yard full-time with a few other dogs.
He will need a forever home who has a flexible schedule and willing to put time into letting him settle so he doesn’t have to worry that people won’t come back for him.
