Where did you get this dog?: Otis was found running loose in Vacaville. His owner was located the following day who advised he no longer wanted to keep Otis and allowed him to run away.

How long have you owned this dog?: 3 weeks

Why is the dog being given up?: I intended to keep Otis however he and my older Pitbull do not get along very well. My other dog is twice Otis’s size so Otis gets beat up when they fight.

Check the words that best describe your dog.: FRIENDLY, ACTIVE, SMART, AFFECTIONATE,

As I have only had Otis for about 3 weeks, I’m not positive on his complete history with dogs. He gets along with our other dog majority of the time however my much larger dog has gone after him a few times resulting in scuffles. I know Otis‘s previous owner had 4 other dogs in the house but I do not know if there were any issues. That owner simply stated Otis was too active for him and he was unable to train him properly. Otis walks well on a leash and is responding well to training.

—- Otis responds well to training and is very friendly with strangers

Does the dog like children?: Yes

Is the dog allowed on your furniture?: Yes

Please list any particular fears your dog has.: Loud noises seem to startle him.

Desrcibe any training the dog has, tricks it knows, and any experience with a trainer.: Otis knows how to sit, wait, back up and is learning shake.

Does the dog have any known health problems?: No

Does the dog like riding in the car?: Yes

What does the dog like : We have not found a toy Otis does not like; Otis loves going for walks and snuggling; Treats and comfy chairs

Otis is a sweet dog and loves people. He’s smart and loves to please. He loves cuddling and running in the backyard.

He does well when he is left out alone in the house, however due to our other dog not liking him we are unable to leave him out

On work days, Otis wakes up with me around 11 or 12, gets play time/walk time for a couple hours before I have to go into work. I work 10 hours shifts and try to stop by to let him out but sometimes my work schedule does not allow for that. On our days off, Otis gets to go for a walk play with visitors all day.

Otis would do well in a home where the snuggles are abundant!
