Sweet River is 10-12 months old American Staffordshire Mix. River especially loves kids. She also loves to cuddle, is house trained, crate trained, and great in the car. Anyone looking for someone to play fetch in the backyard, cuddle on the couch, do well with kids, be a homebody and enjoy daily walks would LOVE having River!
River would currently be best as princess of her palace as an only dog in the home — she will thrive with adopters who will give her consistency with structure, boundaries and love. She can be nervous about some men, but bonding strongly with her foster dad so we know she has the potential to love anyone she trusts.
River walks great in public and is non-reactive to dogs on walks but is *not* a dog park candidate (And as a friendly reminder, Please note HFP does NOT recommend dog parks for any of our animals.
