Meet Truffles! A gentle sweet, husky retriever mix who was rescued from a shelter in Porterville CA. Trufles came as a stray so we don’t know much about her backstory but she is absolutely thriving in her foster home.
Truffles she is totally potty trained, she's had zero accidents and stands by the door to let me know when she needs to go!
She also loves loves loves belly rubs and almost every interaction with her she'll ask for one. Well she loves pets and cuddling in general, and even grooming with the brush. She often falls asleep when I rub her belly or scratch her ears.
She loves people and warms up to everyone that comes near after a minute of smelling them. She's interested in cats but I'm thinking she would need a home that either has a cat who is comfortable with dogs or owners that are patient because she tends to get excited and we're working on not running at them.
There is some separation anxiety but I've been gradually working on it and she's doing better, it's not too bad cause she will go in another room without you. Overall she just really wants to be with someone to get all the cuddles and will gladly sleep with you in the bed or snuggle on the couch.
We are currently working on doggy manners (not jumping on people, giving you space when you're eating, staying out of trash). We think she would do well with friendly dogs but have not had a chance to dog test her yet. Ruffles is an estimated 3 yrs of age — $300 adoption donation includes vaccinations, microchip, utd on monthly preventatives and spay/spay agreement.
