Hi, my name is Diego! I am 2 years old and am 13 pounds! I’m most likely a dachshund terrier mix and am looking for my forever home!
I was rescued from the Solano County Shelter in early April and not much is known about my life prior to that. When my foster family got me, I had a few scrapes that needed to heal, but I am almost all better now and can’t wait to meet a loving family.
I was really shy at first, very timid and scared. With the help of a couple of furry foster friends, I quickly opened up. I really like having other dogs around, but still get scared easily so big energetic ones might be too much for me. I love to play and chase squirrels. I also like toys, but I’m not really sure how to play with them yet.
My energy level overall is low and would probably do best in a home without small children as I do get scared from time to time. I really love treats and am very smart so training would probably come easily to me. My foster family thinks I am the sweetest thing ever and I love their cuddles on the couch. I have learned to sleep in a crate, but would do well anywhere.
If you think I’d be a good fit please inquire. I can’t wait to meet my new family!
